Wedding Photography ~ Carmel Mission & Nicklaus Club, Monterey CA

Betsy & Sean's wedding was one of those days where everything looked like it was right off the pages of a magazine! Truly incredible. It began at the Nicklaus Club in Monterey, California, where the ladies and gentlemen got ready. Just wait until you see this wedding party... with 8 people on each side it was one of the biggest I've photographed. To say that the room was buzzing with excitement that morning would be an understatement!
Finally the big moment came for the "first look", where the beautiful bride surprised the groom and tapped him on the shoulder in front of the fountain. The expression on his face says it all!
We took a few group photos and headed to the Carmel Mission for the ceremony in a classic car. If you've been inside the Mission you know it radiates with a grandness that is hard to describe. After a beautiful ceremony we returned to the Nicklaus Club. As the guests arrived for cocktail hour, the newlyweds and I snuck off in a golf cart to take advantage of some epic landscape views on the hill. The lighting, the backdrop, this couple... everything was SPOT ON. It doesn't get any better.
Our portrait session ended back in the Spanish-style courtyard at the Nicklaus Club, just as the sun was getting low. The bride and groom burst into their reception with a confetti explosion from their wedding party. The night ended like any great wedding day should, one BIG party. And of course a sparkler exit to top it all off. Just fabulous in every way possible!
